DISC PLAYBACK (Continued)

Setting Dynamic Range

Due to the wide dynamic range of digital audio, some-

times a sound track of a movie may get very loud (such

as explosions) or very quiet sounds may be inaudible

requiring the user to constantly adjust the volume as

they watch a movie. Through this dynamic range control,

the TV will automatically balance the very loud and the

very quiet so that you don’t have to constantly adjust the

volume.

Selects the dynamic range compression to fit the indi-

vidual listening situation of the audience. The variable

range is from OFF, 2/8 to 6/8,or FULL.

Full : Audio with fully compressed dynamic range.

6/8~2/8: Audio with partially compressed dynamic range.

Off: Audio with uncompressed dynamic range.

Instruction repeats step 1~4 of Select Subtitle.

The Dynamic Range settings only support Dolby Digital programs.

NOTE

SPDIF Out

If your format of disc is Dolby Digital, select the PCM or

RAW (Bitstream) output.

1. PCM: Select when connecting to a 2-channel digital

stereo amplifier. The unit’s digital audio output will

only output 2-channels even if it is encoded with multi-

channel Dolby Digital tracks.

2. Bitstream: Select Bitstream when connecting to an

external amplifier capable of decoding Dolby Digital

multi-channel audio.

3. OFF: Select OFF if you don’t need SPDIF Out.

This unit doesn’t support DTS multi-channel format. If play DTS disc, it will be no audio on playback.

NOTE

Sampling Rate

1. 48K: If your sampling frequency of disc is 48KHz,

please select 48K. In this case, the 96KHz signals

will be down converted to 48KHZ.

2. 96K: If your sampling frequency of disc is 96KHz,

please select 96K. In this case, all signals will be

output without any changes.
